Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Friends of Greenlawn monthly meeting on Tuesday, August 25. We appreciate your continued interest in preserving and celebrating Greenlawn Cemetery and Arboretum.

During the meeting, we shared details about our upcoming “For the Love of Trees: History and Nature in Greenlawn” event and fundraiser on November 14.

This stunning painting of Fountain Pond, created and generously donated by local artist Debra Freeman Highberger, will be included in the event’s auction.

This marks Debra’s 12th donated painting celebrating Greenlawn Cemetery and Arboretum. We cannot thank her enough for her continued generosity and support. One day, we hope to exhibit all 12 paintings together in the Chapel or perhaps even at the Peabody Essex Museum.

While the Chapel remains under restoration, this year’s event will take place outdoors.
