Preservation Month

Join us on May 9th for Preservation Month as we honor the Mayors of Salem.

Did you know that Greenlawn Cemetery is the final resting place of four Salem mayors, including #32, #33, #46, and #47? Come discover who they are.

This collaborative event includes Harmony Grove Cemetery and Broad Street Cemetery, and will begin at 10:30 AM at Blake Chapel in Harmony Grove Cemetery.

Enjoy live music and storytelling by Jen Strom and Bob Strom, who will share the story of a notable Salem mayor.

Following the program, continue the experience with a self-guided Mayor Tour at Greenlawn Cemetery. Tour maps will be available on May 9th at the Greenlawn Cemetery office board. Read more…

Our Arboretum event will be in September. We will pick a date soon. Hopefully the exterior of the Dickson Chapel will be completely renovated by then. We will keep you informed.
