Celebrating Salem’s Accredited Arboretum at Greenlawn Cemetery

Join us on Saturday, September 13, 2025, for For the Love of Trees VII: History & Greenlawn—a celebration of Salem’s 55-acre rural cemetery and the accredited F. Carroll Sargent Arboretum.

Explore one of North Salem’s hidden gems, where history, nature, and beauty come together. Tree enthusiasts and Greenlawn experts will share stories about the site’s rich past, its remarkable collection of trees, and the beautifully restored 1894 Dickson Memorial Chapel, including its stained-glass windows. Enjoy guided strolls through the grounds, focusing on both the natural and historical highlights of Greenlawn.

(Enter through the Orne Street side gate; the chapel is located just inside, behind the office on the left.)

Parking: Please park on nearby neighborhood streets and walk in if you are able. Parking is limited, and Greenlawn is an active cemetery.
