For the Love of Trees IV, History & Greenlawn

Come join us for the Love of Trees IV, History & Greenlawn.

When: Saturday, September 24,2022 at 10AM – 1PM

History and guided walks starting at 10:30 a.m.

Where: 57 Orne Street , Salem, MA. Orne Street gate & The Dickson Memorial Chapel. Tree lovers and tour guides will be at the Dickson Memorial Chapel inside the side gate.

Park: There may be some uneven ground and hills if you are taking our guided tours. Please park on the street outside the cemetery if you are able. 

Did you know that Greenlawn Cemetery is also an accredited arboretum?
Did you know that the historic 1894 Dickson Memorial Chapel is inside Greenlawn? (Historic Salem calls the Chapel “highly significant and impressive”)
Did you know that Greenlawn is 55 acres, with walking paths and 2 ponds?

This is a free event sponsored by Friends of Greenlawn. Donations are welcomed and appreciated. All donations go toward the restoration of the stained-glass windows of the Chapel.

Come see the beautiful trees and hear about the history of Greenlawn, the arboretum, and the Dickson Memorial Chapel restoration to date.
